Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

Operate and monitor the crushing plant to ensure good housekeeping practices and spillage from crushers and conveyors is removed.
Conduct daily inspections and perform basic maintenance on skid steer, mini loader to ensure operational efficiency.
Complete housekeeping including operation of a skid steer or mini loader and manually shoveling spillage on catwalks, stairs and work areas at the aggregate plant.
Assist the maintenance team during plant repairs and preventative maintenance including lubricating plant and changing wear parts.
Identify, report, and help troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or irregularities to minimize downtime.
Follow all health and safety protocols and report any potential hazards or incidents immediately.

Requirements:

Reliability, punctuality, positive attitude and attendance is a must
Ability to perform physical tasks in a rugged outdoor environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance would be an asset.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job site.
Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Wage Range:

The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be $27.00 per hour. However, the range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
