• Ensure service reliability and uptime in production and test environments

• Be on-call and provide 3rd-level troubleshooting support when required

• Monitor the uptime and performance of production systems

• Execute common system administration tasks such as applying patches, generating reports, and performing some database administration tasks

• Occasionally, help improve tools to reduce repetitive work and improve consistency

What you must have:

• 3+ years’ experience in production operations, SRE, or a similar role

• Understanding of software systems concepts such as networking, firewalls, protocols, and databases

Experience With:

• Linux Teams: Linux (CentOS preferred), Bash, Maven/Gradle

• Windows Teams: Windows, PowerShell, NuGet

• RDBMS and NoSQL databases such as MS SQL, Cassandra

• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo

• Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Ansible or Puppet

• Containerization/Virtualization technologies such as Docker, VMware, OpenShift, Kubernetes

• Load balancing tools such as HA-Proxy, Nginx, or F5

Additional Assets:

• Experience with any of the following: Cassandra, Zookeeper, Hadoop, Kafka, MS SQL, or MongoDB

• Experience leading or mentoring others

• Understanding of software delivery practices such as feature toggling or no-downtime deployments

Salary/Rate Range: $65,000 - $130,000 CAD
