HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a CI Engineer to be responsible for monitoring and supporting the critical CI integration gates, ensuring the development lifecycle can proceed without interruptions.

In this role, you will play a crucial role in providing feedback to engineers, helping to restore and maintain the health of the codebase.

We're looking for candidates with 2-4 years of experience in an SRE or DevOps role. You have expertise in at least one major CI platform and are familiar with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

As a CI Engineer, you'll:

• Administer and maintain the infrastructure (e.g., build agents, runners, CI images, and worker pools) that powers the CI system.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable CI pipelines for a diverse set of software use cases.
• Diagnose and resolve complex CI failures, dependency issues, and performance bottlenecks within the CI environment.
• Work alongside CI platform engineers to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of the CI platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
• 2-4 years of experience in an SRE or DevOps role
• Expertise with at least one major CI platform (BuildKite, Jenkins, GHA, etc.)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), including resource provisioning, autoscaling configuration, and block storage management
• Solid understanding of containerization and Docker
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for build automation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Buildkite
• Experience with modern build tools (e.g., Bazel, Gradle)
• Experience with source control systems, particularly Git
• Experience working in a monorepo environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be onsite (potentially hybrid requiring 3 days a week onsite) and available to candidates who are local to the Foster City, CA area.
