Our Client

Our client designs, manufactures, and delivers high performance industrial chilling solutions, partnering closely with clients to solve complex cooling challenges across a range of industries. Their team brings strong expertise in energy management, creating tailored and efficient systems that meet unique operational needs. Based in Toronto, they operate a fully integrated facility where they design, build, test, and deliver skid mounted process refrigeration equipment, mechanical packages, and fluid pumping systems using both natural and HFC refrigerants, with a focus on ease of installation, seamless commissioning, and long term reliability.

We are excited to be partnering with our client on a permanent opportunity for a Sales Engineer, In this role, you will play a key part in driving new business by collaborating closely with clients to design and deliver custom engineered refrigeration solutions that align with their technical, financial, and environmental goals. What you’ll be doing:

  • Establish and build relationships with targeted end users, engineering consultants, and suppliers.
  • Identify and qualify opportunities in given sales territory and convert leads into sales
  • Using the consultative sales process, develop a technical solution with related budget estimates by analyzing customer requirements
  • Present a firm proposal that demonstrate all benefits and win the business
  • Negotiate final pricing, delivery and commercial terms of the sale
  • Manage and track sales funnel
  • Remain as the commercial customer contact from project award to completion
  • Project Management Skills to manage sold projects to completion.
  • Maintain and increase level of understanding of industrial refrigeration knowledge base, fluid dynamics , pumping systems and heat transfer.
  • Act as a technical resource by providing product education, assistance, and after sales support
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of time within North America
  • Maintaining CRM data into our Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.
  • Using Engineering principles calculate the cooling loads for varying processes
  • Using the Sales directory for training to review varying process designs
  • Costing Using supplied Costing Tools , (NAV/Dynamics 365/Sales Tools)
  • Costing updates to all major components with quotes from vendors or updated price lists
  • Prepare professional Proposals using Proposal Templates (Branding) , Process analysis , Calculations , P&I Diagrams if applicable, photos etc.

Requirements

What we require:

  • Minimum of 2 years of related sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience would be considered (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
  • Proven ability to apply engineering and industrial refrigeration expertise to create and sell custom chilling solutions using natural and/or HFC refrigerants. Heat transfer and fluid dynamics are critical requirements.
  • Helpful is to have experience in plastics manufacturing cooling , metal stamping/forming cooling, metal manufacturing cooling, industrial cold room/freezers , food & beverage cooling, pharmaceutical cooling and recreational ice rink sectors
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the aptitude to identify and recommend appropriate solutions for complex customer needs
  • Proven ability to win business and exceed sales targets
  • Strong listening , presentation, negotiation and networking skills
  • Ability to multi-task and Project Manage multiple projects at a time
  • Licensed professional engineers will be given preference
  • Proficient in MS Office

  • This role has an annual salary range of $70,000-$75,000 + commission for a 1-year OTE to ~$110,000
