Junior web developer Jobs in Maple Ridge, BC

We are looking for a detail-oriented entry-level Accountant to join our client's team on a contract basis in Burnaby, British Columbia. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to support accounts payable functions, including coding invoices and processing payments. You will work both onsite and remotely, gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced environment. The role is ideal for someone looking to develop their accounting skills and grow within the field.

Responsibilities :

• Process a high volume of accounts payable invoices, including allocation to multiple cost centres and coding using established guidelines.
• Perform account reconciliations on the accounts payable side to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
• Manage cheque and EFT payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Handle intercompany transactions between entities, maintaining proper records and compliance.
• Download financial data into Excel for cost centre allocations and reporting purposes.
• Process expense reports and credit card transactions, including Amex-related entries.
• Collaborate with the team to match purchase orders and invoices, ensuring alignment with company systems.
• Support bank reconciliations and assist with resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Utilize software tools such as SAP to manage accounts payable and related functions.
• Provide assistance during training sessions for cost centre allocations and internal procedures.
• Basic experience in accounts payable or similar accounting functions, ideally with 0-1 years of experience.
• Post secondary education in Accounting
• Familiarity with handling high-volume invoice processing
• Knowledge of cheque and EFT payment processing.
• Experience with coding invoices and working on purchase order systems.
• Exposure to SAP or similar accounting software is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
