What You Will do:

The Business Solutions Advisor will be responsible for expanding market share and driving new revenue growth in the Small/Medium Business (SMB) sector. This role focuses on acquiring new business and achieving sales targets through exceptional telephone prospecting skills and face to face meetings, employing a courteous and trusted advisor approach. The Business Solutions Advisor will generate revenue by creating sales leads, initiating prospect calls, and establishing ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers to secure future sales. Integrity, vision, and passion are essential for success in this role.

  • Develop and execute a targeted sales plan within the SMB space
  • Achieve sales budget and financial goals set by Senior Leadership
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and prospects as required
  • Participate in market development activities, including industry events, industry stakeholder/regulatory meetings, and analyst meetings.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory management, and procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive product and service knowledge.
  • Conduct daily prospecting through cold calling, online research (web, LinkedIn)
  • Exhibit a hunter mindset to achieve success in this role.
  • Performs additional duties as required.

What You Will Bring:

  • Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years previous outside sales experience in the Business-to-Business telecommunications industry
  • Advance knowledge of IP related products such as VOIP, Transparent LAN and IP Transit is required
  • Experience in developing marketing and sales plans coupled with working knowledge of budgeting
  • In-depth knowledge of the Telcom marketplace
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales performance in alignment with goals and objectives.
  • Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
  • Ability to occasionally travel and attend sales events or exhibits.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle.
