Must Haves:

Description

Qualifications

• Completion of a professional accounting designation or a Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in accounting or financial management.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in SAP Finance or related roles, including experience in system implementation and end-user support.
• Extensive experience in municipal accounting or relevant private sector experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Extensive SAP business analyst project related experience
• Strong understanding of financial principles and business processes.
• Proficiency in SAP Financial Modules (FI, CO), Materials Management and an understanding of SAP integration with other systems.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is highly required.
• Experience with reporting tools such as SAP Fiori.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Proven skills in team collaboration and stakeholder management.
• Experience preparing and maintaining associated project documentation as necessary
• Experience participating in the deployment of the new business processes including end user training and transition to support Team
• Experience working closely with end users to ensure a common understanding of
• day-to-day operational processes
• Experience assisting with SAP End User training to all relevant stakeholders
• Experience preparing functional specs for all system changes, working with developers
• where necessary
• Experience participating in the following core project areas: solution scoping, requirements analysis, gap analysis, feasibility, functional design, testing, production

Assignment of Duties

• 1. Document Business Requirements and Functional/Detail Requirements
• 2. Review and provide input to business requirements.
• 3. Prepare and maintain associated project documentation as necessary
• 4. Create test plans, training materials and system documentation for internal and external clients
• 5. Prepare and maintain SAP business process documentation as necessary and use the SAP business process repository
• 6. Participate in project planning, change management, communications, testing, training, go live and post go live support activities
• 7. Ensure that financial systems adhere to regulatory standards and internal policies.
• 8. Mitigate risks by recommending controls within SAP systems.
• 9. Identify inefficiencies within financial workflows and recommend improvements enabled by SAP.
• 10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize operations.
• 11. Analyze complex data and convert business needs into technical solutions.

Deliverables

• 1. All duties as outlined above in Section 3.0 Assignment Duties
• 2. Functional specs for development objects
• 3. Test plans, test cases, use cases, user stories, scenarios and results documents;
• 4. Documentation of various types of tests (unit, functional, integration, system, regression, penetration, performance and user acceptance testing);
• 5. Process and configuration documentation
• 6. Options documents to support decision making by project leadership
• 7. Key decision documents
• 8. Other analyses and reports for Management as needed;
• 9. Input for training and sustainment model
• 10. Documentation of issues and risks
• 11. Other deliverables as directed by management

Additional Terms

• Anticipated Duration: 12 months
• Duration of Potential Extension: 6 months
• The Business Analysts will be working under a hybrid mode, with remote option, working from Metro Hall, 55 John Street in Toronto for a minimum of 3 days per week. The successful candidate will be working seven (7) hours per day, five (5) days per week based on normal working Business Hours.
