Job description

Our client in the steel industry is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their team. Their organization focuses on environmental responsibility while delivering high-quality steel products to clients worldwide.

The Junior Accountant should have a strong foundation in cash management and financial transactions. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual looking to develop their accounting skills in a dynamic and fast-paced industry.

Key Responsibilities :

Cash Handling & Reconciliation

Process daily cash receipts, deposits, and reconciliations.
Monitor and record cash inflows and outflows accurately.
Ensure proper controls are in place for cash transactions.

Accounts Receivable & Collections

Assist in tracking customer payments and following up on outstanding invoices.

Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Work closely with sales and operations teams to ensure timely collections.

Banking & Treasury Support

Prepare and process bank deposits, wire transfers, and ACH payments.

Maintain banking records and support cash forecasting.

Assist in bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

Support month-end closing by reconciling cash-related accounts.

Assist in preparing reports related to cash flow and liquidity.

Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.

Qualifications & Skills :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

One to two years of experience in accounting or cash management (including internships).

Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze numerical data.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
