MatchBox Consulting is urgently seeking a Computer Support Analyst for a 10 month contract role with our New Westminster public sector client. RFC-2026-033
This is a hybrid role 2 days on site and 3 days remote. However, during the initial stage, fully onsite is required.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUND
The Computer Support Analyst (Contractor) installs and troubleshoots end-user devices — PCs, laptops, mobiles, and monitors — for the organization and its subsidiaries.
SERVICES & DELIVERABLES
- Install, configure, and test end-user devices according to standard checklists and enterprise IT standards.
- Provide technical support for the EAM solution, and act as the link between business teams, sustainment teams, and vendors on system stability and issue resolution.
- Confirm devices and peripherals (cables, power supplies, etc.) match standard configurations.
- Maintain compliance with security standards, including authentication and device access policies.
- Reset passcodes and AD account passwords; help resolve Wi-Fi and cell connectivity issues.
- Work with Desktop Support on setups, replacements, and device issues (e.g., freezing, crashing).
- Coordinate with Desktop Support, Cybersecurity, and Workplace Technology on secure device lifecycle management.
- Log, investigate, and resolve device-related incidents and user issues; escalate as needed to the Project Manager.
- Provide weekly status reports to the Project Manager.
- Create documentation and knowledge base articles so sustainment teams can support new devices and solutions going forward.
- Support the transition to sustainment operations.
REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years in desktop support with expertise in Windows and Active Directory
- Experience installing and troubleshooting computers, iPad, iPhones, laptops, etc.
- Strong communication skills and customer service experience with ability to handle senior and direct stakeholders.
- Able to travel to different site locations within (Lower Mainland BC) at your own expenses.
