Field Coordinators / Field Engineersare job-site leaders in health and safety, ensuring quality of reporting and workmanship, and that all engineering work is completed in a professional and ethical manner. Reporting to a Project Engineer or Project Manager, your main functions will include contract administration, project planning, scheduling, and project reporting. This role plays an advisory role to Project Management for contractual, legal, and other project issues.
District Overview
Kiewit’s Western Canada District primarily performs heavy civil and infrastructure projects specializing in earth moving, transportation, roadways, bridges, water resources, and underground utilities. We are looking for hard working individuals with a passion for construction who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty! Our current opportunities are spread across Western Canada. Regular travel and / or relocation may be required.

Field Coordinators must be flexible to travel for projects across Canada and the USA. #LI-RP1

Responsibilities
Field Engineering :
- Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision, and prepare work plans and work packages
- Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed / installed materials and work
- Compile, process, and confirm daily labor timesheets
- Assist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s)
- Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training
- Assist in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and compilation of as-built data
- Order and schedule material deliveries
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the jobsite
- Supervise field operations

Base Compensation : $87,000 / yr - $100,000 / yr
