Job description
Are you a bright, bubbly, and confident professional looking to make a significant impact as the face of a growing company?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join a dynamic team in Brampton. In the realm of business administration, you will manage front desk coordination, provide top-tier customer service, and handle various administrative duties.
We are seeking an early-career individual with a strong work ethic who thrives on creating a welcoming atmosphere for both internal team members and external guests.

This business administration role goes beyond answering phones. You will proactively assist other departments with data entry during slower periods and venture into the warehouse facility to conduct daily employee counts, which requires wearing steel-toed boots.
We are looking for a proactive self-starter who takes initiative and seeks out ways to help rather than waiting for work to come to them.

Strong English communication skills are required for this business administration role to effectively manage the front desk, interact with local staff, and provide seamless customer service to visitors and callers.
While this is primarily an English-speaking environment, any additional language skills or bilingualism are always considered a wonderful asset.

Advantages
• Excellent and stable daytime working hours: 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance
• Team building events
• Company Christmas party
• 2 Flex days / 3 sick days
• No mandatory overtime required, allowing you to reliably plan your evenings
• Comprehensive benefits package offering 80% coverage to support your health and wellness
• A supportive, business casual work environment that values initiative and autonomy
• Two full weeks of comprehensive onboarding and training to ensure you are set up for success
• Real potential for career advancement within the company's business administration and operational departments

Responsibilities
• Act as the primary face and voice of the company, greeting all incoming visitors and directing them appropriately
• Operate the main telephone switchboard, answering inquiries, taking messages, and routing calls to the correct departments
• Provide exceptional customer service to both internal staff and external clients, maintaining a happy and confident demeanor
• Conduct daily employee headcounts by safely navigating the warehouse floor (requiring the use of steel-toed boots)
• Proactively assist other business administration departments with data entry and clerical overflow during slower reception periods
• Maintain a tidy, professional, and welcoming front desk and reception area at all times
• Communicate effectively with management, demonstrating the initiative to ask questions and seek clarification when needed
• Utilize Microsoft Office suite for various administrative tasks and quickly learn the internal payroll software during the two-week training period
• Ensure all visitors are properly logged in and adhere to the company's security and visitor protocols

Qualifications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation
• High level of initiative and a proactive mindset; ability to seek out tasks without needing to be micromanaged
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for accuracy and detail
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with a bubbly, confident, and welcoming personality
• Ability to easily adapt to changing paces of work, seamlessly transitioning from quiet periods to busy tasks
• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities essential for modern business administration
• Capacity to work independently while remaining an integral, helpful part of a broader team
• Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer service role is highly preferred
• Early-career professionals with a demonstrably strong work ethic are strongly encouraged to apply
• Must possess or be willing to obtain steel-toed boots for required daily warehouse walkthroughs
• Ability to adhere to a business casual dress code while maintaining a highly professional appearance
• Willingness to be flexible and assist various departments with administrative tasks and data entry
• Must be comfortable working in an environment where the pace can fluctuate, requiring self-motivation during slower times
• A confident, self-starter attitude who prefers independent work over micromanagement
