Insurance and Financial Services Position - Desjardins Agent Team Member

I'm looking for a motivated representatitive to join me as I grow my Desjardins agency. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in insurance, client relationships, and business development while helping individuals and families protect what matters most.

No extensive experience is required. If you're driven, people-focused, and eager to learn, you'll receive the training, mentorship, and support needed to succeed.

We're hiring now and looking to fill this position quickly.

Responsibilities:

• Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify client needs, and recommend appropriate life insurance and living benefits solutions.
• Conduct needs-based conversations to help clients understand their insurance and financial protection options.
• Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service, including responding to inquiries regarding policy coverage, eligibility, policy changes, beneficiary updates, claims, and billing questions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with individuals, families, and business owners through regular follow-up and policy reviews.
• Educate clients on the importance of life insurance, income protection, and financial security planning.
• Generate new business opportunities through referrals, networking, community involvement, and proactive outreach.
• Work with the agent to establish and achieve sales and marketing goals.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure all recommendations align with clients' needs and objective

Requirements:

• Life License preferred (or willingness to obtain licensing).
• A genuine passion for helping people protect their families and financial future.
• Experience in relationship management, customer service, sales, business development, insurance, or financial services.
• Strong networking and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust quickly.
• Excellent communication skills, including active listening and consultative conversations.
• Ability to identify protection needs and recommend tailored life insurance solutions.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented mindset.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Comfortable presenting solutions to individuals, families, and business owners.
• Previous life insurance, employee benefits, insurance, or financial services experience is considered an asset.

You will be part of a supportive team dedicated to helping clients protect what matters most and achieve long-term financial securityYou will be hired to work at The Personal Insurance Company (“The Personal”) for a period of up to 60 days to allow you to complete training and licensing. If training and licensing are successfully completed, you will be considered for employment with an independent contractor Desjardins Agent.
