On behalf of our client, SWIM is seeking a new Controller who will oversee the company’s accounting and finance operations, including financial reporting budgeting, forecasting, and daily accounting activities, all while ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal governance.
The Controller will lead month-end close processes, conduct financial and cost analysis, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and manage expenses effectively. The Controller will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance reporting capabilities, streamline business processes, and support the implementation of enterprise systems and technology initiatives.
The Controller will also contribute to organizational leadership through participation in strategic planning, operational decision-making, and continuous improvement efforts across departments.
This is not a “maintain-the-status-quo” role. The company is seeking someone resilient and forward-thinking who can build and improve processes and systems, fix what’s not working, and scale the accounting & finance function for future growth.

We’re looking for an accounting & finance leader with at least 7 years of progressive and relevant work experience
A competitive base salary commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications- in the ballpark of $140,000 to $170,000. The company also provides a robust bonus program and other upside/benefits/perks. Please discuss your total compensation expectations in further detail with SWIM.
Langley, close to Hwy 1. Pretty good commute for someone living in Langley, Surrey, Newton, Murrayville, Aldergrove, Aberdeen, Bradner, Willoughby, Cloverdale, Campbell Heights, Walnut Grove, Willowbrook, Abbotsford, etc. Full time in office for first 3+ months of onboarding & training. After that, can start to work from home up 1 day/week if preferred.
