Primary Project Location: Cold Lake, AB (project site location will be confirmed upon hire) Compensation & Benefits RRSP Matching – up to 4% after 90 days of employment Paid Time Off – vacation, sick, and incidental days Comprehensive Benefits – 80% employer‑paid health, dental, vision, and travel insurance for you and your family Insurance Coverage – AD&D, LTD, critical illness, life, and dependent life insurance Role Overview You will proactively ensure that company safety policies and procedures are followed and that all work meets or exceeds applicable regulatory requirements.

You’ll conduct site inspections, deliver training, and work closely with superintendents and field workers to build and maintain a strong culture of safety.

This is a hands‑on role: 50% field work – outdoors in varying weather, walking on uneven terrain, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • 50% administrative work – on‑site documentation, reporting, and safety planning.

Key Responsibilities Conduct site safety inspections and hazard assessments.

Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and on‑site safety orientations.

Support modified duties/return‑to‑work programs.

Recommend and help implement corrective actions.

Assist with crane lift and fall protection planning.

Maintain compliance with emergency response planning.

Lead and document incident investigations.

Develop safe work practices and job procedures.

Keep accurate safety statistics and assist with COR audits.

Verify operator certifications and equipment inspection logs.

Provide coaching to supervisors on safety legislation and company procedures.

Conduct internal safety training where qualified.

Attend project and client safety meetings as required.

Qualifications Preferred: NCSO designation (equivalencies considered) Minimum 2 years of experience in a field safety role, ideally in commercial construction CSTS 2020 certification First Aid certification Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle Application Process We thank all applicants for their interest.
