Northern Lights Public Schools invites applications for the following position :

S2526-26 Educational Assistant - North Star Elementary School

We are seeking a temporary full-time (1.0 FTE) Educational Assistant to commence as soon as possible and until May 2026. The assignment involves assisting with student educational program needs including social skills, behavior skills, self-help. Training in speech, language and numeracy strategies will be a definite asset.

North Star Elementary School is located in the City of Cold Lake with approximately 430 students in Kindergarten to Grade 6. Walk in the doors of North Star Elementary School and you will feel the difference! The school is bright and spacious, children are engaged, happy and busy, the staff are energetic and friendly.

Preference will be give to who have :

• Post-Secondary training and / or experience as an Educational Assistant
• Knowledge and experience with behavioral strategies
• Experience working one-on-one and / or in a classroom setting
• Knowledge of documentation procedures and proficiency with computers
• Familiarity with strategies to address different learning styles and experience with Individual Program Plans
• Knowledge and experience in alternate communication strategies
