Job descriptionPerform within the defined scope of practice according to the regulatory organization in the province; Conduct triage assessments during walk-in hours and patient assessments including medical or incident history and physical examinations; Perform nursing interventions such as vital signs, aseptic techniques, infection control, and specimen collection; Develop nursing care plans based on assessment results and refer to physicians or other healthcare providers; Administer medication as per doctor’s orders within provincial scope of practice and document therapeutic effects; Complete nursing documentation immediately after each patient interaction; Communicate any changes or abnormal findings to the senior clinician; Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections and wound care; Administer and monitor respiratory and intravenous therapies; Monitor patient progress and evaluate nursing interventions; provide health education; Handle administrative tasks like responding to patient queries, preparing medical files, and managing medical records; Assist physicians or healthcare providers with treatments and procedures; Serve as the point of contact for care coordination and inquiries; Manage medical supplies and inventory; Ensure cleanliness of patient care areas and sterilize surgical instruments; Perform other relevant tasks as needed. Adhere to Bayshore policies and procedures; Participate in quality improvement activities; Engage in health & safety initiatives and report risks; Complete accident reports within 24 hours if injuries occur; Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information.
