Nestled in the southwest corner of Alberta, right in the majestic Canadian Rockies, Crowsnest Pass is a mountain community like no other.

Crowsnest Pass is located in a rural setting where Licensed Practical Nurses work within a multidisciplinary team to provide additional family focused nursing care.

Description :

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills.

You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications :

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications :

Current certification for IV management and BGM.Recent on-site Continuing Care nursing experience with strong knowledge base, preference will be given to candidates with one or more years of LPN experience.

Successful candidate will be expected to work at full scope of practice.Must have demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills.

Works well as a team member.Flexible in adapting to changes in workload and assignment as required.Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with Meditech.Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
