Job description

This role is part of a team within the Sanctions Name screening Team, known for teamwork, recognition, and success. The Account Resolution Specialist I reviews and identifies Sanctions / PEP Watchlist Management (WLM) alerts, conducting initial reviews to close or escalate alerts for further investigation. This involves monitoring alert status, prioritizing cases to meet SLAs, and ensuring quality through adherence to FIU procedures and guidelines. Responsibilities include reviewing Adverse Media and MSB alerts, escalating appropriately, and maintaining accurate documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced environment working with large datasets and possess knowledge of AML and fraud.

Position : Account Resolution Specialist I

Shift : Monday-Friday, 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 30 PM (Hybrid - Tuesday & Thursday in office, training for first 2 weeks fully in office)

Location : Hybrid, Toronto

Advantages

Responsibilities

  • Review and identify Sanctions / PEP Watchlist Management (WLM) alerts.
  • Conduct initial review of alerts and escalate as needed.
  • Monitor alert status and prioritize cases to meet SLAs.
  • Review Adverse Media and MSB alerts and escalate appropriately.
  • Ensure adherence to FIU procedures and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation.
  • Meet individual productivity targets.
  • Manage work volumes effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of CIP, KYC, AML, and ATF regulations.
  • Research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using various searchable databases.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with large datasets is preferred.
  • Previous bank experience, AML, and fraud knowledge are highly desirable.
