Julia's family in Angus, Ontario is in search of a full-time, live-out nanny to provide attentive care for their children. The ideal candidate will be responsible for housekeeping, meal preparation, and be available for overnight care as needed. This would not be often although you might get invited to attend on vacation with us down the road. I recently had workers attend with us overnight to attend a funeral . Most days would be 8 : 30 or 9 : 30 am to 5 : 30 or 6 : 30 pm. I work from home much of the time. If I’m not in appointments or out of the house working I am flexible. However, there will be days that I will be required to attend meetings elsewhere. CPR certification is a requirement for this role although I would pay for you to take this training and basic first aid.
The family is offering an hourly rate of $25.00. If you have a passion for childcare and meet the outlined criteria, we welcome you to send us a message to express your interest in this rewarding opportunity to be a part of our family.
Daughter is 16 with multiple diagnosis’s including ASD, MID, global developmental delays, pmdd, odd, and dissociative identity disorder. She’s on medication which I give her and is in trauma therapy. Right now she takes remedial classes online. Caregiver should have experience with mental health, autism and behavioural issues. NVCI, UMAB or CPI training are a must ( this is for her safety and yours. ) but I’d pay for you to take the training and help you find appropriate training to help you to know how to deescalate. I have UMAB and safe management training myself. It has been incredibly helpful.
The salary I’m offering is in keeping with what I know agencies are paying support workers.
