Duties & Responsibilities : Travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area and across Canada to inspect electrical systems in the Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional buildings industry.
Assess, troubleshoot, commission, and offer recommendations for electrical equipment.
Maintain and repair lighting systems.
Interpret and work with product specifications, building plans, and design documents.
Conduct and attend site visits including but not limited to site verifications, inspections, and meetings.
Apply and adhere to national and provincial building codes across Canada.
Offer technical support as needed.
Complete and handle paperwork accurately and promptly.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements : A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and access to a personal vehicle.
A valid 309A license with at least 5 years of experience is required.
A 442A license is considered an asset.
Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and their operations.
Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as the Canadian Electrical Code, the Canadian National Building Code (NBC), Ontario Building Code (OBC), etc.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a talent for building relationships.
Solid analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility to adapt to various work locations and schedules, including the ability to travel away from home is a must.
