Senior Geochemist / Géochimiste senior

SRK Consulting is an independent, international consulting practice, providing globally integrated consulting services to the international mining and metals sector. We are seeking a Senior Geochemist based in our Vancouver, Saskatoon, Toronto office, or Montreal workspace.

Description of Responsibilities :

• Support the geochemistry team in Metal Leaching and Acid Rock Drainage (ML / ARD) assessments of mine sites.
• Bring innovative approaches to solving geochemical, waste management, and water quality management challenges at mine sites.
• Assist with analysis of large geochemical datasets and critical interpretation of geochemical data pertaining to mining environments.
• Interpret static and kinetic geochemical data to support the development of conceptual geochemical models, mine sites with operational ML / ARD management, and derivation of geochemical source terms.
• Produce high-quality technical reports that effectively communicate detailed geochemical information to wide audiences including clients, non-specialists, industry professionals, First Nations, and regulatory agencies.
• Design and implement field programs, including remote support as well as fieldwork as required.
• Establish and maintain client relationships.
• Develop budgets and proposals for competitive and sole sourced scopes of work related to the above tasks.
• Undertake administrative and management tasks including the organization of project meetings and documentation and the implementation of procedures required to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• If not based in Vancouver, periodic travel to work from the Vancouver office will be required. Duration and frequency will be determined based on experience.

The estimated base pay range for this position is $100,000 to $140,000. The salary offered will be commensurate with relevant skills, knowledge, and experience.
