The  Building Places Division of AECOM  is actively seeking a creative highly talented Electrical Designer for immediate employment in the Markham office.

AECOM Buildings Places Canada (BP Canada) is a vibrant and growing fully integrated team spanning architecture all the buildings engineering disciplines landscape architecture urban planning urban design economics and asset management for design and infrastructure projects. Project assignments may include although not limited to : Transit and Municipal Commercial and Institutional projects Justice Education and Government.

Major Responsibilities :

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to :

• Designing for Electrical systems using Revit MicroStation  and AutoCAD
• Ensuring overall data quality and integrity
• Preparing Electrical design drawings
• Preparing documentation for design projects and reports
• Undertaking quality control procedures
• Working within a team environment and being able to communicate effectively with other project team members and customers
• Assuring that engineering related issues are promptly relayed to the Project Manager for action and supporting timeliness of resolution effort
• Applies industry standard practices and techniques in producing engineered solutions to specific project electrical issues
• Gathers and correlates electrical engineering data associated with assigned projects using established and welldefined procedures
• Exercises judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.  Reviews the proposed solutions with the responsible engineer and agrees on a path forward
• Supervisor will screen assignment for unusual or difficult problems and select techniques and procedures to be applied on nonroutine work
• Employee will receive supervision on new aspects of assignments
