What you’ll do

  • Provide strategic direction and mentor a corporate financing team of senior lenders and sales professionals.

  • Review and authorize complex corporate credit proposals, including syndications and other specialized lending structures.

  • Actively participate in prospecting new customers, developing credit proposals and closing deals.

  • Build and maintain a strong network of relationships with corporate customers, industry partners and other financial institutions.

  • Collaborate with senior management and internal partners to develop and execute business strategies.

  • Lead and manage a district team by ensuring workforce planning, succession, performance and employee engagement.

What you’ll bring to the team

Required qualifications:

  • University degree, MBA or professional designation (CA, CGA, CFA or equivalent)

  • At least 10 years of experience in commercial or corporate financing

  • Experience managing and developing a sales team in a formal leadership role

  • In-depth knowledge of corporate credit, lending structures, syndications, and portfolio management

  • Proven experience in managing complex business relationships and coaching highly specialized teams

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and strategic decision-making skills

Preferred qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of the Canadian agribusiness and food industry
