Brandt Corporate Services Ltd. is seeking a creative Content Marketing Specialist to join its vibrant team.

In almost every industry, Brandt has the largest captive audience of any of their competitors, many times including third party publications. There is untapped potential to leverage this reach to build strong affinity between customers, industry influencers, and Brandt to position us as an authority in these various industry segments. Content Marketing Specialist(s) are tasked with owning their industry portfolio, predicting their audiences’ needs and working with internal content and stakeholder teams to put the right message in front of the right people at the right time. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, excellent storyteller, and possess a strong attention to detail.

The role of Content Marketing Specialist will be to own and orchestrate strategic content marketing plans for an assigned portfolio of industry segments that result in positive brand reputation, increased audience traffic, increased impressions and other KPIs as determined.

Duties and Responsibilities

Channel Ownership

  • Own the content platforms in the respective portfolio and act as the scheduler, poster and monitor within the given social profiles.
  • Post and manage high-quality, engaging content, including blog posts, articles, social media updates, email newsletters, and more as required.
  • Optimize content for SEO, ensuring that all content is aligned with targeted keywords and adheres to best practices.
  • This includes other peripheral duties like engaging with industry content, monitoring inboxes, replying to messages and forwarding leads to the Customer Experience team.
  • Work closely with the Advertising & Creative teams to ensure our messaging, tone and voice are congruent with our other paid channels.
  • Support paid social campaigns as required.
  • Work closely with teams of product experts to get speedy replies to our customers through our various platforms.
  • Monitor online sentiment surrounding Brandt posted content and general brand sentiment.
  • Engage with members of the online community.
  • Measure and grow our share of audience and understanding what opportunities exist to garner a deeper following across all organic content channels.

Competitive Research

  • Develop and maintain a complete list of direct and indirect competitors that exist in the same content space as Brandt.
  • Be the expert in the competitive content landscape using competitive examples to infer what and how our customers prefer to consume certain types of information.
  • Use competitive understanding to proactively plan and execute content plans that meet the needs of our customers before anyone else can.

Annual Planning

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to plan 12 months of content at the beginning of each year.
  • Present the annual plan to stakeholder group and work collaboratively with internal creative teams to ensure resources are assigned accordingly.
  • Adjust the calendar according to changing dynamics within the market.

Opportunity Identification

  • Work collaboratively with other members of the marketing team to identify, strategize and deliver unique content-related initiatives that drive key business KPIs.

Performance Tracking, Continuous Improvement & Communication

  • Work closely with the Media Analytics Specialist to fully understand the results of given actions and use these findings to develop new standards and shape future activities.
  • Regularly report to stakeholder groups on the impact our content marketing initiatives are having within the business.

Emerging Channels

  • Monitor and proactively identify new content channels and build business cases for why they are worth bringing into the tool kit.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt style and tone for different audiences.
