Job description
Our client, a well-established technical consulting organization supporting complex industrial operations, is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join its growing engineering team.
This role involves contributing to the development and implementation of automated solutions within industrial environments. The successful candidate will work alongside multidisciplinary professionals to deliver technical solutions, guide project activities, and support both internal teams and external stakeholders.
The experience you will bring includes:
- 10+ years of experience working in automation, controls, or related technical engineering roles
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng.) in Canada, or eligibility for registration, is considered an asset
- Experience working within industrial project environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience supporting collaborative project teams
Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Supporting the preparation and review of technical documentation and project deliverables
- Working with internal engineering teams to coordinate technical activities
- Participating in discussions with stakeholders regarding project requirements and solutions
- Providing guidance and informal mentorship to junior team members when required
