Jump Recruitment, on behalf of our client, McGuinness Coatings Ltd., is seeking a Pavement Marking/Construction Foreman to join their team in Port Perry, ON.

Position Summary:
McGuinness Coatings is an established and fast-growing pavement marking, line painting and removal company looking to add a Pavement Marking/Construction Foreman to their team.
The position involves driving/operating long line paint truck for municipal restripe contracts as well as Regional and MTO new construction projects. Working foreman will be responsible for leading a crew of three to complete layout, pre-marking, and painting of roadways.
Position is 50% out of town travel throughout the province of Ontario. Live out allowance provided and single room hotel occupancy. Overtime after 48 hours, home on weekends.

Job Responsibilities:

• Receiving work orders from the operations manager or project coordinator
• Plan work route for the day / night
• Direct and assist crew of 2-3 labourers on traffic control and installation of a variety of pavement markings (waterborne paint, solvent-based paint, thermoplastic, MMA, etc.)
• Track and complete work orders/quantities and report back to head office daily
• Read and interpret drawings to perform pre-marking/layout for intersection and long-line pavement marking projects
• Operation and daily maintenance of air atomized pavement marking truck

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in pavement marking industry in line painting or paint truck driver
• Book 7/traffic control training certificate or extensive knowledge of Ministry of Transportation and / or Municipalities Pavement Markings specifications
• Must be a team player and willing to work on short notice
• Hours can sometimes be long and unpredictable and includes night work
• Ability to work in an efficient and safe manner on the roads
• Full DZ license, clean drivers abstract, and reliable transportation is a must
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate an asset
• Mechanical abilities an asset
• Willing to commute to and from McGuinness' head office in Port Perry, ON, to various locations in province of Ontario.

Job Details:

• Full-time, Seasonal. Contract Length: 8 months
• Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

• License/Certification: Class DZ License w/ clean abstract (Required)
• Willingness to travel: 50% Required.
• Work location: On the road
