Intern – Technician II
Location : Vancouver, Richmond, Surrey
Contract Dates : May-August 2025
In this role, you will have the chance to shadow and assist other technician on their projects. You will be responsible for performing maintenance, routine and on-demand services on grounds and non-technical facility components (. walls, floors, . Safety is top of mind at BGIS – you will be responsible for performing work in accordance with established processes and practices and for complying with internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, fire protection.
Maintenance
- Performs work in accordance to established processes and practices.
- Complies with all internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, fire protection.
- Performs regular facility and facility non-technical component monitoring and inspection.
- Provides observations about facility, grounds and non-technical component conditions and deficiencies, and provides suggestions for enhancements and repair.
- Monitors assigned facility by conducting facility walkthroughs, grounds, facility non-technical component monitoring and inspection
- Responds to routine service requests and performs preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Operates facility mechanical, electrical and other systems.
- Manages work order life cycle progressing the work form dispatched through to completion and records resolution data within service maintenance management database. Ensures work completed meets quality, contract response and all other requirements.
- Assists in the implementation of preventative maintenance (PM) program. Ensures that deficiencies are identified, recorded and escalated, and that related documents are maintained.
