Meet Your Future Team:

The Delivery & Transportation Team is a vitally important link between the many global components of the Arc’teryx business and our internal stakeholders. Our team is a key contributor in making Arc’teryx successful, and we take pride in the magnitude of the impact we have despite our small team size. We operate behind the scenes, and the work we do creates the foundation for the business to deliver an excellent customer experience.

If you were the Senior Logistics Specialist now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Supporting the Manager, Delivery & Transportation in guiding a high performing logistics team and supporting the day-to-day leadership of the team.

  • Establishing best practices and standard ways of working across the logistics team

  • Acting as a point of contact for internal team members regarding specific distribution center queries and updates

  • Overseeing shipment visibility and exception management, ensuring risks are identified and resolved proactively

  • Providing routing instructions for finished goods, raw materials and related materials

  • Helping to mentor and train new members of the team

  • Reviewing, auditing, coding, and approving freight invoices (air, ocean, and courier) to quotes or price agreements

  • Analyzing and formulating logistics solutions for new trade lanes and expedited shipments

  • Creating and maintaining transit timetables to ensure purchase orders are planned with correct shipping lead times

  • Supporting logistics performance reporting, including KPI development, accuracy, and insights to inform decision-making

  • Supporting the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of Logistics SOPs

  • Driving cross-functional logistics alignment, ensuring clarity on timelines, risks, and priorities

  • Supporting resolution of complex logistics escalations, coordinating internal and external stakeholders to drive timely outcomes

  • Improving logistics processes wherever possible to maximize efficiency and improve service to internal and external customers

  • Identifying issues/gaps in vendor performance and escalating to leadership for resolution if necessary

  • Monitoring and tracking detention and release issues related to custom delays

  • Providing support for Distribution, Transportation and Supply Chain projects as required

  • Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing, throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Supporting on multiple project implementations on inbound end-to-end delivery from T1 vendors to destination

  • Tracking and monitoring outbound orders for all channels including retail, wholesale and ecommerce

  • Extracting reports and provide data analytics reflecting system, functional and operational gaps within a Supply Chain or Logistics process

  • Collaborating with cross functional departments during cadence meetings for status updates and execute weekly summary and action items

  • Providing freight rates and forecast freight budgets for new seasonal models

  • Identifying market trends and acting as a logistics advisor to business partners

  • Supporting the creation of dashboards for comprehensive lane review and monitoring

Are you our next Senior Logistics Specialist?

  • You have 5+ years' experience in logistics, or another relevant supply chain field

  • You are highly organized, possessing a strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage and maintain high volume of data

  • You are proficient in the use of SAP

  • You have experience leading projects or initiatives across cross-functional teams

  • You can create dashboards, pivot tables and translate data into identifying process gaps

  • You act as mentors to other members on the logistics team

  • You are comfortable making decisions in ambiguous environments

  • You have strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

  • You excel at communicating with internal customers as well as with external vendors

  • You are self-motivated, with the ability to work with minimal supervision

  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, Power Point, PBI, and AFO

  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity

  • You balance autonomy and collaboration with your teammates

  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement

  • You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right

  • Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is CAD$82,000 - CAD$103,000 Total Rewards
