Are you a DevOps / Cloud Engineer with deep technical experience in system software, middleware configuration, and modern cloud DevOps tools. This hybrid role based in Toronto (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) for a contract of 9 months involves leading infrastructure design, automation scripting, cloud integration, and production support for complex enterprise systems. The ideal candidate brings over a decade of experience in Linux / UNIX systems and cloud-based CI / CD pipelines, with strong capabilities in scripting, security, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise middleware platforms (WebLogic, WebSphere, Informatica)
• Implement CI / CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Packer
• Develop and maintain automation scripts aligned with infrastructure-as-code principles
• Perform application and instance tuning, capacity planning, and database migrations
• Lead system refresh initiatives using Azure cloud-native tools and technologies
• Support systems integration, data migration, and UAT environments
• Manage backup / restore, disaster recovery strategies, and performance optimization
• Configure clustering, load balancing, and firewall rules for high availability
• Conduct system monitoring and ensure 24 / 7 support readiness
• Lead knowledge transfer sessions and documentation for internal teams
• Provide post-go-live stabilization and technical support
• Prepare monthly performance reports with accomplishments and project status
