Business Development Client Manager – Canada | Talent & Workforce Solutions
As a Business Development Client Manager, you will be responsible for driving new client acquisition across the Canadian market. Your primary focus is opening doors, building relationships, and closing new business for workforce and talent solutions. All recruitment delivery and ongoing account management are handled by internal teams.
This is a performance-based, commission-only role built for sales professionals who thrive on prospecting, closing, and generating new revenue.
Requirements
What You’ll Do
New Business Development (Canada Market)
- Identify, prospect, and secure new client opportunities across Canada, including direct clients, Implementation Partners, enterprise organizations, and MSP/VMS programs.
- Lead outbound sales efforts through cold outreach, referrals, networking, and strategic account targeting.
- Present and sell workforce solutions across contract, contract-to-hire, direct hire, and project-based engagements.
- Engage with MSP and VMS programs, navigating submission rules, pricing frameworks, and commercial compliance requirements.
- Negotiate rates, markups, and contractual terms to close profitable deals.
- Support contract execution and initial client onboarding, then transition accounts to internal teams for ongoing account management.
- Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach through deal closure and formal handoff.
Client Relationship Development
- Build strong relationships with HR, Talent, Procurement, and Operations decision-makers.
- Act as a trusted advisor during the pre-sale and sales process.
- Understand client workforce needs and business challenges to position appropriate solutions.
- Ensure a smooth handoff of newly won business to internal account and delivery teams.
Sales Execution & Pipeline Management
- Build and maintain an active sales pipeline using CRM tools.
- Track leads, opportunities, and closed deals accurately.
- Forecast sales activity and revenue generation.
- Maintain CASL-compliant, professional outreach practices.
What You Bring
- Proven success in B2B business development, staffing sales, or workforce solutions sales.
- Experience selling into direct clients, Implementation Partners, MSPs, and VMS environments.
- Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills.
- A hunter mentality with a passion for opening new accounts.
- Ability to work independently in a commission-driven environment.
- Comfort using CRM platforms and modern sales tools.
