Job description

Adecco is currently hiring an experienced Track Maintenance Foreperson to support railway operations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for supervising track maintenance crews, coordinating repairs, conducting inspections, and ensuring railway infrastructure is maintained safely and efficiently.
· Pay Rate: $39.25 - 44.07/hour
· Location: Squamish, BC
· Shift: Travel, shift work, and overtime may be required
· Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:
· Lead and supervise track maintenance crews in daily operations
· Inspect, repair, and maintain railway tracks, switches, crossings, and right-of-way infrastructure
· Coordinate the replacement of rails, ties, ballast, spikes, anchors, and related track components
· Ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with railway standards and regulations
· Conduct track inspections and authorize completed work for service
· Support safety initiatives, crew training, and performance management
· Maintain operating restrictions and respond to track-related issues as required
· Complete inspection reports, work records, and material documentation
· Assist with vegetation control, drainage maintenance, and site clean-up activities
Qualifications and Skills:
· Previous Foreperson, Supervisor, Lead Hand, or Crew Leader experience
· Experience in railway maintenance, construction, heavy civil, transportation, utilities, or infrastructure maintenance
· High School Diploma or GED
· Valid Driver's License
· Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
· Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
· Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
· Outdoor work in all weather conditions
· Physically demanding role requiring lifting up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally
· Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
