INSPECTOR LEVEL C (hourly rate of pay $48.36)

We have an opportunity for you to join our production team as an Inspector Level C at our Cambridge, Ontario facility. Each member of our team plays a critical role in BWXT Canada’s success and in ensuring we meet our customers’ quality, cost and delivery expectations. Primary Function:

To perform all tasks of an Inspector Level C and to conduct non-destructive examinations.

Tasks:

  • Perform NDE in all areas of the Shop.
  • Read and interpret documentation, including drawings and operating procedures.
  • Create inspection reports, maintain and file documentation.
  • Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.
  • Communicate effectively with internal team members (i.e. peers, production leadership, project management, engineering) as well as customer representatives.
  • Work in a safe manner, complying with all health, safety and environmental guidelines/regulations.
  • Understand and adhere to quality requirements and productivity expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven commitment to workplace safety.
  • Must possess MT Level 2 AND PT Level 2 PLUS 2 of the following:
    • CEDO
    • UT CGSB-1
    • RT CGSB-1
    • 2 years as a Fabrication/Machining inspector with BWXT
    • 5 years as Fabrication/Machine inspector with documented evidence from an external company or 5 years Fitting/Welding experience within BWXT
    • Certified Weld Inspector (AWS-CWI or CWB2)
  • Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or in nuclear power-related industry.
  • Commitment to quality and the ability to work as a positive, effective team member, willing to go the extra mile to ensure we meet our customer expectations.
  • Proficiency with computer software.
  • Available to work all shifts:
    • Weekday days: 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Mon – Thurs) OR
    • Weekday afternoons: 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. (Mon – Thurs) OR
    • Weekend days: 6:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours) OR
    • Weekend afternoons: 5:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours)
