We’re looking for passionate, driven and energetic candidates to join our Human Resources team for the position of Human Resources Associate located at our office in Guelph, Ontario for an 18 month contract.

Compensation : Starting at $55,000 annually plus bonus.

As a Human Resources Associate, you’ll support a variety of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, payroll and benefits administration, HR systems, training, and health and safety.

You’ll work closely with employees and leaders to provide responsive HR support, maintain accurate employee information, and help ensure HR programs, policies, and processes run smoothly.

This role is ideal for an organized and approachable HR professional who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and making a positive impact on the employee experience.

What You’ll Be Doing Support the full recruitment and onboarding process, from reviewing applications and interviewing candidates to preparing new hire documentation and welcoming new employees.

Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and managers on policies, programs, leaves, benefits, and general HR questions.

Process and maintain employee and payroll changes, including new hires, departures, wage adjustments, unpaid time off, and other employee updates.

Support employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, disciplinary documentation, and terminations alongside HR leadership.

Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, HRIS information, tracking tools, and HR documentation.

Partner with managers to solve employment-related problems, and provide practical HR support for their teams.

Stay current with employment legislation, HR best practices, and company policies and procedures to help support a consistent and compliant employee experience.

What You Bring Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field, along with relevant HR experience.

An understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with employees and leaders.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

A high level of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment when handling sensitive and confidential information.

A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a willingness to learn, take initiative, and work both independently and as part of a team.

Experience with Microsoft Office, HRIS, and payroll systems; working toward a CHRP designation is considered an asset.
