Job description

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced eCommerce Manager to join our dynamic marketing team. This role is crucial for managing our marketing team while optimizing our online sales and customer engagement channels. The ideal candidate is a jack-of-all trade, with a unique blend of technical expertise, design sensibility, and marketing knowledge, with a strong background in automotive products and data analysis. The focus will be on enhancing the online customer experience, managing our website and CMS, engaging with customers, and leading our team to drive sales growth within the North American market.


Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year


Key Responsibilities:

Team Management & Leadership

  • Test & review products (from both BlackboxMyCar & externally).
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in eCommerce and technical knowledge.
  • Provide guidance and step in to support the team when necessary, and use project management software such as Asana.
  • Develop eCommerce strategies & monthly planning with the team.

Data Analysis

  • Conduct data analytics, social media and SEO analysis, leveraging data to inform strategies and find growth opportunities.
  • Lead team initiatives, providing resources for success and efficiency improvements through AI integrations and automations.
  • Utilize tools like Klaviyo or Mailchimp to analyze customer behavior and improve engagement strategies.

Relationship Builder

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, external organizations, and partners through effective communication.

Shopify Website Management

  • Utilize the Shopify CMS, apps & Liquid coding to maintain & enhance website functionality and aesthetics to create a visually appealing & user-friendly customer experience.
  • Update product listings, descriptions, images, and pricing as needed to reflect most up-to-date information. Ability to write coherently is important.
  • Utilize email marketing campaigns like Klaviyo to bring users onto the BlackboxMyCar website.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field, with a strong preference for candidates with an automotive background.
  • At least 3 years of experience in eCommerce, with a proven track record of managing websites, email marketing, and customer engagement.
  • Proficiency in Shopify, Liquid coding, and the use of Shopify apps.
  • Strong design skills and the ability to optimize websites for desktop and mobile.
  • Experience in customer management and building relationships.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and collaborate effectively.
  • Analytical skills with experience in Google Analytics, data visualization, and SEO analysis.
