OUR AWARDS : Great Place to Work Certified – 2022, 2023, 2024 Most Trusted Executive Teams – 2023 Best Places to Work in Hospitality & Retail – 2023 Best Places to Work in Canada – 2024 Best Workplaces for Women – 2024 Best Workplaces for Mental Wellness - 2024 RESPONSIBILITIES : Ensure consistent food preparation and the highest caliber of food presentation for the events and banquets division Execute meals for private events according to guest expectations, upholding consistency and quality at all times Supervise and participate in the production and plating of all food service areas, to maintain the best quality possible Assist with monthly inventory of all food, beverage, dry and stock products Assist with onboarding and training of new kitchen team members Ensure the morale of all kitchen staff is maintained by practicing positive strategies to motivate staff, encourage self-esteem, efficiency, and living the Company values Participate in weekly team management meetings Strive to uphold a safe working environment and be health and safety conscious Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS : Extensive knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards including Safe Food Handlers Certificate Completion of post-secondary education in the Culinary Arts Minimum three to five years’ experience in the food and / or hospitality industry in a culinary role Positive, outgoing and friendly team player Self-motivated, self-directed individual who requires minimal supervision Strong problem-solving abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Culinary trade papers or Red Seal designation considered an asset WHAT CAN WE OFFER?
