Aerotek is hiring an Overhead Crane Operator for our client located in Delta, BC
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely handling steel materials using overhead cranes in a fast‑paced industrial environment. Candidates must be physically capable and willing to work swing shifts, including graveyard shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate overhead cranes to move steel around the shop
- Load, unload, and position steel products accurately
- Assist with spray painting and finishing operations
- Operating an industrial machine to clean and coat steel products
- Work closely with production teams to support workflow efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report concerns

- Ability to take instructions from others
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role
- Capable of working in an industrial environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
Nice to Have
- Overhead crane experience and or certification
- Sit down counter balance forklift experience and or certification
- Industrial painting experience
- Experience working in an industrial steel shop environment
Compensation
- Starting wage: $25.00/hour
- Wage progression:
- $28.50/hour after 6 months
- $32.25+/hour after 1 year of employment
Shift Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Days)
- 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM (Afternoons)
- 11:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Graveyard – 7 hours paid for 8 hours)
- Mainly afternoon and night shifts, with occasional morning shifts
