Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in implementing design concepts through the preparation of detailed mechanical or electrical designs, production drawings, and schematics for ICI buildings.

Develop technical skills using AutoCAD and/or Revit.

Prepare technical reports, documentation, calculations, and sketches.

Assist with equipment selection and specification development for mechanical or electrical systems.

Review shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and design intent.

Collaborate with the project team and Project Manager to ensure quality and timely delivery of projects.

Follow company policies, procedures, and established file structures/formatting standards.

Perform general support duties such as printing, plotting, scanning, document conversion, quantity take-offs, and measurements.

Gain a deeper understanding of applicable codes and standards (NBC, OBC, NFPA CEC) Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements: Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Previous Co-op or internship experience in building systems design (mechanical and/or electrical) for industrial, commercial, or institutional projects.

Working towards Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation is an asset.

Familiarity with building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, lighting, and electrical distribution is considered an asset.

Previous experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit is consistent an asset.

Basic knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as the Ontario Building Code (OBC), National Building Code of Canada (NBC), and Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) is an asset.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.

Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Position Details: Type: Full-time, On Site Location: Scarborough, Ontario Purpose: Existing Vacancy Eligibility: Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.

Compensation Range: $20-$25 /hour This compensation represents INVIRO’s current anticipated range for this position.

Actual compensation offered may vary based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skills.
