Job Title: Electronic Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an Electronic Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves assembling junction boxes, electronic controls, and other assemblies according to mechanical and electrical drawings, and installing and testing completed electronic assemblies. You will act as an inspector for final electronics checkout and interact with manufacturing to ensure proper installation and test of completed assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Assemble junction boxes, electronic controls, and other assemblies per mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Install and test completed electronic assemblies.
• Act as an inspector for final electronics checkout.
• Interact with manufacturing to ensure proper installation and testing of completed electronic assemblies.
• Participate in wiring diagram/interconnect drawing reviews.
• Troubleshoot electronic assemblies for production and aftermarket support.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Contribute to team effort by training others in the performance of moderately complex electronics assembly tasks as needed.
• Inspect all work prior to passing it on to the next operation.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in reading blueprints.
• Experience with small hand tools, power tools, hand tools, drills, and screwdrivers.
• Ability to interpret and draw wiring diagrams.
• 1+ year of wiring experience.
• 2+ years of electronic assembly experience.
• Completion of electrical schooling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Why Work Here?

Eligible for profit sharing after 1 year with the company. The time on contract will count towards the 1 year. Profit sharing will equal 10%, which is approximately $10,000 per year added into an RRSP account.

Work Environment

Work in a medium-sized manufacturing company with 6 assembly work stations, 8 welding cells, a paint booth, and an epoxy mold department that houses over 10 machines. The facility spans over 200,000 square feet and is very clean with bright lighting. The position operates on a day shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm.
