The impact you will have:

As a Technical Architect – Dell Technologies, you will be a trusted technical advisor and subject-matter expert responsible for helping customers design, modernize, and optimize their on‑premises and hybrid infrastructure using the Dell Technologies portfolio.

In this individual contributor role, you will lead complex technical engagements across the sales lifecycle—shaping solution strategy, influencing architectural decisions, and ensuring customers achieve measurable business outcomes. You will also play a critical role in growing Softchoice’s Dell business by enabling sales teams and strengthening strategic partnerships with Dell field organizations.

What you’ll do:

Architecture & Solution Design

• Architect end‑to‑end infrastructure solutions leveraging Dell Technologies, including compute, storage, data protection, HCI, and hybrid cloud platforms.
• Translate customer business and technical requirements into scalable, resilient, and secure solution designs.
• Develop architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and Bill of Materials (BOMs) aligned to customer outcomes.

Pre‑Sales Technical Leadership

• Serve as the senior technical resource on Dell‑focused opportunities, supporting customer meetings, workshops, presentations, and evaluations.
• Partner closely with sales teams to define solution strategy, scope opportunities, and support Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Provide technical leadership throughout the opportunity lifecycle, from discovery through close.

Customer Advisory & Trust Building

• Act as a long‑term trusted advisor, helping customers with infrastructure modernization, lifecycle planning, performance optimization, and cost efficiency.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and executive audiences.
• Guide customers on best practices, architectural tradeoffs, and future‑state roadmaps.

Vendor & Partner Alignment

• Maintain deep expertise across the Dell Technologies portfolio, including pricing programs, promotions, and deal registration processes.
• Collaborate with Dell field sales and specialists to align go‑to‑market strategies and maximize joint success.
• Maintain required Dell certifications and attend vendor and Softchoice enablement sessions.

What you’ll bring to the table:

• 5+ years of experience in technical architecture, pre‑sales engineering, or infrastructure consulting roles.
• Strong hands‑on and architectural expertise with Dell Technologies solutions.
• Experience designing hybrid infrastructure environments, including virtualization and cloud‑integrated architectures.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical conversations and influence solution decisions in customer‑facing scenarios.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Dell Technologies certifications strongly preferred.
• Experience working within a technology reseller, integrator, or services organization preferred.

Compensation:

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $66,560 to $83,200 annually + 20% Target Incentives.

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, education, and related certification. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
