Position: Carpenter Apprentice - Aomega, Calgary
Project Type: Buildings
Project Location: Calgary, AB
Shift: Day
Schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off

Jardeg is currently recruiting for a Carpenter Apprentice to work with the Aomega Project team in Calgary!
The schedule for this position is 5 days on 2 days off; Monday to Friday. At this time, candidates that are local to Calgary area will be considered.
As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will:
- Assist in building forms for concrete
- Cut, shape, and join specialty materials per specifications
- Look for and fix deficiencies
- Check accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
- Study blueprints for work planning
- Construct and forms chutes for pouring concrete
- Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
- Loading/unloading materials
- Perform labourer duties in addition to carpentry work
- Maintain clean, organized work areas; remove debris and hazards; support end-of-shift cleanup
Requirements:
- Preference will be given to Registered Carpenter Apprentices from a recognized provincial training authority
- Non-registered carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
- Certifications: CSTS and WHMIS
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Must have reliable transportation to get to work
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
