RedRick Technologies Inc, Mount Brydges, N0L 1W0

Are you looking for a career opportunity where you can be creative, problem solve, and really make an impact?

Well, look no further! At RedRick Technologies Inc, we create custom ergonomic consoles for professionals in the healthcare and security industries, so they can be more productive, healthy, and comfortable. Through ergonomic design, we reduce pain, fatigue, and risk to their health.

We’ve been in business for nearly 25 years, making a difference and improving lives for customers across North America. Now, you can too as our new Product Developer/Designer

Product Developer / Designer
Location: Mount Brydges, ON

You will be our primary design specialist, leading the design and development of new products while fine-tuning and making improvements to the current product line. You will have freedom and flexibility to shape your role, and to approach your task in a way that works for you.

Your ability to understand engineering programs while ensuring deadlines are met will be essential to your success in this role. You will be working closely with our sales team and product managers to ensure that our product and service offering is 2nd to none.

Practically speaking, you will:

  • Design and develop new products using engineering software, primarily SolidWorks and Revit
  • Create and refine custom components based on product manager guidance and client requirements
  • Work extensively on custom projects, translating concepts into functional designs
  • Update and maintain existing product designs and engineering files
  • Collaborate with product and sales teams to develop innovative and customized solutions
  • Fine-tune product designs to improve performance, quality, and manufacturability
  • Spend time on hands-on work, including building and testing prototypes
  • Evaluate product performance and make necessary design adjustments
  • Manage and organize design files, ensuring accuracy and version control
  • Support ongoing improvements to current inventory and product offerings
  • Occasionally travel to trade conferences and clients’ sites

Working at RedRick Technologies Inc

This is a full-time, permanent position, working mainly in our Mount Brydges location (about 20 km west of London, Ontario). You’ll typically work from 8:30 am to 5 pm, but on-site installation hours may vary. You’ll travel occasionally for installations, in Canada and the US. We are looking forward to bringing someone on immediately. In addition to a competitive salary between ($00,000 - $00,000) per year (commensurate with experience), we offer a comprehensive benefits package and 3 weeks’ vacation.

We are a tight-knit group that values trust that we can build on, and we are always willing to jump in and help as needed. Collaboration is our key to success. We value everyone’s ideas and are respectful of each other’s contributions. We’re always willing to help each other out. We truly feel like family.

With us, you can have a long-term career, have a voice in improving our company, and be satisfied daily by the positive impact you’re making.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Product Developer / Designer role
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with SolidWorks; working knowledge of Revit is highly preferred
  • Valid passport with the ability to travel freely to the United States, as required
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to rent and operate a vehicle
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 100 lbs as part of hands-on responsibilities

How to Apply:

Our online application will give you the option to apply to this role as a complete person – not just a resume. The application will assess your qualifications, personality traits and workplace preferences, and should take 10 to 15 minutes to complete. After submitting, you'll receive an email inviting you to log in and view your assessment results.

We value diversity and inclusion and encourage all qualified people to apply. If we can make this easier through accommodation in the recruitment process, please contact us using the “Help” button.

We will review applications, with priority given to those who have completed the assessment, and look forward to hearing from you.
