We are seeking an experienced Chef Manager for a 3–6 month contract on Gabriola Island. In this role, you will oversee kitchen operations, manage staff, plan menus, and ensure meals are prepared safely and to a high standard.

Job Length: Contract (3–6 Months)
Location: Gabriola Island, BC
Pay: $30/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and oversee daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare and cook meals, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Supervise, train, and schedule kitchen staff.
• Maintain compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and kitchen organization.
  
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a chef or kitchen manager.
• Food Safe Certificate mandatory.
• Experience supervising staff and managing kitchen operations.
• Non-slip kitchen shoes.
• Ability to successfully complete a Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
