RetiSpec is seeking a proactive and results-driven OPERATIONS MANAGER to join our team. This role is critical to supporting our next phase of growth by establishing and optimizing organizational and business operations.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for building new systems and processes from the ground up, while also enhancing existing ones, to drive operational efficiency and scalability.
This includes overseeing supply chain logistics, international shipping, inventory management, and leading the implementation of new software tools and workflows.
Additionally, the Operations Manager will support reporting, contract administration, and vendor management to align operations with the company’s strategic goals.
With new disease-modifying drugs coming to market, the Alzheimer’s landscape is at an important inflection point; making this an exciting and impactful time to be working in this space.
This role will have the opportunity to drive positive change to patient health outcomes.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities :
- Develop and implement new systems and processes across project management, supply chain, inventory management, and other operational areas to support growth and scalability.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and lead initiatives to enhance internal processes across all business functions, including operations, finance, and administration.
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and integration of new software tools to support operational activities, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, inventory management, and project management.
- Lead and coordinate strategic cross-functional projects, from planning to execution, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget, and aligning with broader company objectives.
- Develop and manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and cost efficiency.
- Build and manage end-to-end supply chain strategies, including vendor selection, procurement processes, and logistics management for domestic and international shipping, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.
- Establish and maintain inventory control systems, including auditing, stock level management, and inventory forecasting to ensure adequate supply while minimizing waste and cost.
- Design and maintain effective systems for data management, documentation, and file storage to ensure regulatory compliance and easy access to critical information.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including international trade laws and data privacy requirements. Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks.
Knowledge and Experience :
3-5 years of experience in operations management, business operations, or a related field, preferably in a medtech, biotech, or AI-driven environment.
Previous experience in a startup or scaling organization is an asset.
- Experience in establishing and optimizing operational systems, processes, and tools.
- Experience in supply chain management, international logistics, and inventory control.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across teams and functions and effectively interface with external partners, vendors, and customers.
- Highly organized with a proactive, problem-solving approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with working in a regulated environment and drive results in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, project management tools, and other business operations software.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and develop innovative solutions to drive business objectives.
- Willingness to travel as needed to manage relationships with vendors, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment with company objectives.
- Fluency in multiple languages is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
