An industry-leading approach to flexible work to enable better work-life balance.Who we're looking for : Our people are united by a common belief : that we can outperform in everything we do.Position SummaryWorking collaboratively with Consultants, Schedulers and Construction teams, the Site Coordinator assists with developing and maintaining the project schedule and managing sub-contractors work for the project's construction requirements. Key Responsibilities
Assist the Senior Superintendent with the overall project execution including schedule, document control, trade coordination, quality, health & safety, and project status
Monitor and inspect the work of sub-contractors to ensure quality of work, adherence to schedules and satisfactory completion of works, complete documented handover of work to subsequent trades
Assist in the development and implementation of short-term programs of work
Proactively looking to reduce potential roadblocks and ways to accelerate the schedule
Coordinate the procurement of resources in a timely manner to maintain the project schedule
Assist in the tracking of project deficiencies
Complete inspection and testing plans (ITP's) for various scopes of work including but not limited to concrete, pre boarding, blockwork, structural steel and fire spray
Ensure that at all times Multiplex HSE policies and guidelines are strictly adhered to and the site safety plan is implemented in a timely manner
Coordinate with thorough input to the daily log, subsidizing Superintendent input, including manpower counts, pictures, journal entries and more
Coordinate third party inspections as required under project specifications
Administer and comply with the Multiplex Management Systems and maintain accurate records and documentation
Maintain a positive working relationship with the client and trades
Attend site meetings and record minutes as requiredEducation & Experience
One year of experience as a Site Coordinator or Field Engineer in the construction industry working for a general contracting construction company
Post-Secondary Degree in Engineering, Construction, Carpentry / Joinery Apprenticeship or a related field
CCA Gold Seal Candidates highly preferred
LEED ® Accreditation highly valued
Up-to-date Safety Certifications (eg. Working at Heights, Fall Protection, H&S Awareness)Required Knowledge & Skills
Working knowledge of MS Project and / or Primavera 6
Solid knowledge of building and construction trades
Experience in scheduling and planning of sites and teams
Proven ability to handle a fast-paced work environment and enjoy working collaboratively and cross-functionally
Proficiency in reviewing, analyzing and effectively critiquing building plans, specifications and contract documentsWork Environment
