Senior Data and Systems Administrator (Education Sector)

We are looking for a talented Senior Data and Systems Administrator with specialized experience in educational environments, particularly at the primary and elementary levels.

If you have hands-on expertise with systems like Blackbaud, PowerSchool, and Google Classroom, and can bring data management and system administration skills to the table, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities :

• Oversee and manage complex database systems, ensuring high performance and data integrity, with specific experience in Blackbaud, PowerSchool, and Google Classroom.
• Support data migration efforts, ensuring smooth transition of information between systems and across platforms.
• Assist in the integration and optimization of student information systems (SIS) and learning management systems (LMS).
• Provide help desk support to staff, troubleshooting technical issues, and offering guidance for data-related challenges.
• Implement and enforce data security measures, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
• Develop reports and dashboards to support data-driven decisions across departments.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders to align system functionalities with organizational goals.
• Maintain documentation for all data systems, including user guides and best practices for staff.
• Provide basic programming support for data-related tasks using Python, API integration, and C#.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data and systems administration, preferably in an educational setting at the primary and elementary level;

experience in an independent school environment is highly beneficial.

• Proficiency in Blackbaud, PowerSchool, Google Classroom, and other SIS / LMS platforms.
• Experience with data migration and integration of systems within educational environments.
• Basic programming skills in Python, API development, and C#.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to provide responsive help desk support.
• Strong knowledge of database management systems (SQL, MySQL, Oracle) and cloud-based services.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support staff in data management tasks.
