What you'll do
We are looking for a Tech Lead who is motivated to provide technical ownership, direction, mentorship, and architectural context in the combination of the art of design with the art of programming.
Responsibilities will include working across a wide-variety of technical and non-technical disciplines (Product Owners, Front-End, backend / microservice and middleware developers) to plan, design, implement, and continuously improve upon Merchandise Initiatives for CTC.
You will review implementations in consideration of an evolving set of best practices and patterns from multiple perspectives (performance, accessibility, sustainability, reusability), and help to lead the Merchandise Platforms Development practice within the Merch ecosystem.
Review & assess technical feasibility of architectural designs.
Apply your Retail Domain knowledge to contribute to preparation of effective design.
Review of technical design documentation with intermediate & senior developers.
Work with Architects to develop solutions in consideration of organizational risks (security, sensitive information, PCI) throughout lifecycle.
Work with senior developers and Architects to continually assess and evolve Merchandise Platforms technology architecture.
Review package dependencies within project initiatives.
Work with leads from other disciplines to assess 3rd-party libraries and packaged solutions for implementation.
Provide technical mentorship and training for senior developers.
Onboarding of any external (temporary) development resources as needed for projects.
Represent Merchandise Technology Development Chapter in Big Room Planning sessions to provide high-level estimates on impacts for road mapping from a technological aspect.
Facilitate implementation reviews, assess technical debt, and work with POs to prioritize changes within the Continuous Delivery intake funnel.
Lead developer collaboration for solutions across squads.
Work with senior developers to build & execute training plans for development teams with the introduction of new technologies & patterns.

What you bring
3 + years experience in Azure Services, Technology, and deployment tools : Azure Service Bus, ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Functions, Azure Key vault, Azure DevOps, Azure SQL / Cosmos DB, Azure Kubernetes, Azure Monitoring.
3+ years experience as Senior Software Engineer / Dev Lead in Retail Domain developing applications using Angular, Java, Oracle / SQL Server technologies.
Experience with Development tools such as Eclipse, VSCode, Git, Postman, Web Inspector, Jira / Confluence.
Experienced working in medium to large teams in Agile Scrum / Kanban methodologies.
Experience with CI / CD pipelines.
Deep understanding of cloud patterns including observability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
Experience working with APIs.
Experience working with cloud-native technologies : Kubernetes clusters, dev portals and other cloud technologies.
Deep understanding of ELT / ETL tools including but not limited to Azure Data Factory.
Understanding of containerization.
