Overview

The Associate Director will work within a compact cross-functional team with ownership of eCommerce strategy. The role involves steering our client’s growth and acceleration strategy for retail, requiring expertise in Amazon Search and DSP, as well as WM, Instacart, Advanced (Loblaws), other quick commerce platforms such as Uber and DoorDash are a plus.

The ideal candidate should have robust team management skills and expert-level experience in commerce. The Publicis eCommerce team engages in various sectors, partnering with some of the agency’s largest and most dynamic clients. We are seeking an enthusiastic leader eager to immerse themselves in numerous projects and collaborate with multiple retail partners.

Responsibilities

Oversee the client's strategy and growth of retail media Paid Search / Sponsored Product Listings as well as off-site display advertising.

Become a subject matter expert and educate teams and clients of the eCommerce retail environment.

Build end-to-end ecommerce strategy and plans for the client.

Assist internal teams within the Commerce practice in growing each client’s business.

Work with cross-functional teams to provide insight and recommendations.

Develop, manage, and monitor client service delivery executions of the assigned accounts.

Oversee process development and execution management.

Assure quality control of all media planning and implementation.

Ensure best practices are in place and implement planning process for the assigned accounts and holistic media planning across paid search platforms and initiatives.

Coordinate efforts across different digital media channels to drive optimized recommendations.

Continuously evaluate and improve upon all digital media opportunities.

Attend to client meetings as needed, interface as needed with executive level and middle management level on client side during meetings and presentations.

Embrace and encourage a culture based on teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity.

Motivate, lead, and manage internal teams, working collaboratively to drive programs that meet our clients’ performance and business objectives.

Drive adoption of stated account management best practices through example setting, positive reinforcement, and behavioral correction.

Conduct performance reviews and career path plans.

Provide training to direct reports as needed.

Facilitate the development and documentation of best practices for improving operational efficiencies within the team and the group.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in advertising, marketing, communications, economics, or equivalent with 5+ years of related experience in eCommerce / Retail Media.

Experience with Walmart (WMC) Paid Search / Sponsored Product Listings and Criteo.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint as well as other equivalent programs and as appropriate specific industry tools and technology.

A proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects effectively and work well under pressure to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.

Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with the ability to think unconventionally in proposing solutions.
