The opportunity

EY Consulting Services is a fast-moving, high-growth area with huge potential. We are currently seeking a SAP Solutions Architect Manager level to join our SAP Technical Services team.

This team offers variety, challenge, responsibility, and the opportunity to realize your leadership potential. To address the shifting landscape of our clients' needs, EY has established a national Center of Excellence focusing in the broad topics of Enterprise Intelligence, Risk Transformation, IT Risk, and Enabling Technologies.

Enabling Technologies primarily focuses on the design and optimization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) packages like SAP, Oracle, and others.

Our team typically works with Fortune 1000 clients across a variety of industries including, Manufacturing, Pharma, Energy / Utilities, Transportation, Telecommunications, Entertainment / Media, Oil / Gas and Consumer Goods / Retail.

Your key responsibilities

• Provide technical and architectural leadership on various business and enterprise applications.
• Work with architecture, development, and infrastructure teams to produce an optimal, high level, conceptual design for the project.
• Develop enterprise level solutions that integrate across applications, systems, and platforms.
• Approve application architecture designs and lead technical design sessions with architects and developers.
• Partner with Business champions and other stakeholders to understand the high-level requirements and business objectives, future strategic direction of the business / function.
• Recommend solutions, initiatives and provide inputs on key decisions for business prioritization, roadmaps, and product improvements.
• Define Technology strategy and architecture to ensure alignment with technology, industry, and EY standards, aligning to technology roadmap, and business needs.
• Lead and drive architecture and design phases, creating / documenting solution architecture, CRDs, BPDs etc.
• Communicates with senior leaders regarding the architecture, discuss problems and recommend solutions and improvements.
• Mentor and train junior architects within the P&U practice.

Skills and attributes for success

• 10+ years experience with multiple end-to-end implementations of SAP or similar ERP system in a solution architect role.
• SAP P&U experience on large enterprise transformation projects around applications architecture, P&U subject matter experience across multiple functional and technical areas is preferable.
• S / 4HANA utilities experience is a must with demonstrated understanding of North American P&U Industry landscape and an in-depth understanding across the entire gamut of CIS Solutions.
• Demonstrated understanding of Solutions Architecture and Enterprise Applications and hands-on experience to create and document solution architectures.
• Extensive experience in following key domains (Applications or Technology) and a good understanding of both domains and their relationships.
• Understanding of cloud hosting in a public, private and hybrid environment and Cloud Architecture
