About the work environment :
Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home.
Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8 : 00am and 4 : 30pm with flexibility around start & end times.
Hiring Location :
We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary offices. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

About the qualifications :
- Post-Graduate education in MBA or MS degree considered an asset
- Experience in Banking or Fintech, particularly Commercial Deposits (different types of accounts and savings products) and Payments (Interac, EFT, Wires)
- Experience with launching new business deposits products highly desirable
- Familiarity with the legal / regulatory environment and rules related to business deposits
- 2-3 years' experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager. Product Owner / Product Manager Certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Product Owner) an asset
- Experience with Agile methodology and tools including Confluence, JIRA
- Experience in delivering API products; affinity towards tech products and understanding API based products will be an added advantage
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies
- Experience with automation and optimization of operational workflows
About the day-to-day :
- Take ownership of the P&L of Business Deposits products, with a keen eye on advancing the business by reducing costs and growing revenues
- Draft key objectives and results, strategies and apply the data for the product to make business decisions
- Collaborate with stakeholders (subject matter experts, architects, dependent teams) during the visioning and concept development of a product
- Perform discovery on topics to gather information for requirements and begin further analysis efforts
- Assess value and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on maximum value and alignment with product strategy
- Provide backlog management and prioritization, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories. Build and manage the backlog of user stories to achieve the business roadmap
- Prioritize activities according to user needs while taking into consideration IT constraints, relationships with external partners and overall squad efficiency
- Collaborate with BSA / BA to develop detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, and ensure that enough prioritized backlog is available for the team before the sprint starts
- Ensure the development team understands items in the backlog and gets clarity on items
- Be responsible for the delivery of new features and updates to existing features
- Continuously make improvements and fixes to the product to enhance the customer experience
- Inform and influence stakeholders of the initiative's progress and solution status, effectively sharing the product vision and complex situation
- Utilize tools such as Jira and Confluence to manage and track project requirements, tasks, and documentation.
- Give presentations / demonstrations of new product functionality to stakeholders and clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to deposits and banking-as-a-service
- Ensure that the squad has the tools and routines / ceremonies required to do its job effectively, in collaboration with the scrum master COE
Annual Compensation :
Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary and discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $90,000 and $125,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities & experience that the chosen candidate possess.
