In this exciting position, you'll become an integral Recruitment team member within our Shared Services department in Calgary or Edmonton, AB.

Your primary focus will be identifying and attracting top-tier talent to join the dynamic EXP team.

We are looking for someone who has a true passion for recruitment and who thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at EXP, you will be responsible for executing strategic sourcing plans to create talent pipelines for technical and professional engineering staff.

In this role you are skilled at mining talent pools, navigating employment landscapes, and executing web and social media campaigns in the hunt for the right talent.

This position will work as part of a North American team of recruiting professionals with a focus on finding talent and filling positions across Canada.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Develop and implement recruiting and sourcing strategies to create a robust talent pipeline.
  • Proactively identify and engage with potential candidates through cold calls to build a talent pipeline.
  • Participate in full-cycle recruitment, including job posting development, sourcing, strategies, interview question creation, pre-screening, interview panel participation, reference checks, and negotiation of employment terms.
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates, including but not limited to social media, colleges, universities and professional associations.
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging recruitment trends and propose innovative search strategies.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal hiring managers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Foster relationships with diverse professional engineering organizations and associations to expand the candidate network.
  • Maintain all supporting recruitment records.

What does your experience looks like

  • You have 3-5 years’ experience in recruiting.
  • You have completed a Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology or any related degree.
  • You have a keen sense of organization, self-motivation, and problem-solving.
  • You have proven experience in full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing and selection.
  • You have had prior experience in a third-party staffing firm, agency, or engineering firm.
  • You have experience with an applicant tracking system (Oracle Cloud Preferred).
  • You are passionate about being a subject matter recruitment expert.
  • You can develop strong working relationships at all levels : with peers, managers, hiring managers, our HR team and at the leadership level.
  • You have excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • You have strong research, networking, and sourcing skills.
